Nearly $3.5 million was donated by philanthropists in Canada and the U.S. to help community groups cover the cost of sponsorship. Thanks to the generous donations, 685 refugees will arrive in Canada by the end of the year, and 37 of those will reside in British Columbia. They are a part of the Blended Visa Office Referred (BVOR) program, which permits Canadian sponsor groups to contribute to refugees identified by the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees to relocate to Canada. If you are considering relocating to Canada, contact Canadian Visa Professionals. Their team of experts can walk you through the immigration process.

Jennifer Basu had considered sponsoring a refugee, but didn’t think it would be possible for several years. After learning about the money being donated, she was able to gather a group of eight sponsors and within two months bring a refugee from the Middle East to Canada. Basu told CBC she is aware of the many people in the world who need somewhere to live and are being persecuted where they currently reside.

She is thankful for helping even one person to be in a safe place. Canada is a safe place for refugees and immigrants alike. Canadian Visa Professionals is your gateway to Canada. Their experienced team of experts can help you correctly complete your application for the required visa. Contact them today!

The BVOR program has been in existence for a few years, but in 2018 there was a possibility that hundreds of places in the program would not be used. The Canadian government opened up 1,500 places for refugees through the program, but by eight months into the year, less than 500 of the spaces had been filled. The empty spaces unused by the end of the year disappear. Thanks to the Vancouver Giustra Foundation, Shapiro Foundation, the University of Ottawa Refugee Hub, and Jewish Family Services, a fund was created to help community groups cover the cost to sponsor the refugees.

The goal of the fund is to fill any unused space due to lack of funds. The cost for a private sponsor to welcome a family of four through the BVOR program is close to $18,000. The federal government funds the rest of the cost. Canadian Visa Professionals has a goal to help every person wanting to relocate to Canada. Contact them for help with the immigration process.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There has been a shift in the ethnicity of truckers in Canada. Out of the nearly 181,000 truckers, two percent of them in the nation in 1996 were South Asian immigrants, and in 2016, 18 percent are from South Asia. The sector was once filled with white, blue-collar big-riggers, but now South Asians have filled the gap in the growing labor shortage and are beginning to reroute the industry with chai-vending and tech-savvy truck stops. There are plenty of job opportunities in Canada due to the ever-aging workforce. Canadian Visa Professionals will help you apply for the needed visa to live and work in Canada.

Over 50 percent of all truck drivers in the Toronto and Vancouver region were born in South Asia. Over thirty percent of all Canadian truckers are immigrants, and the majority speak Punjabi, according to Statistics Canada’s National Household Survey. The group’s growth is shown through new organizations such as the North American Punjabi Trucking Association. Based in California and launched this year, NAPTA educates the members on technology and new regulations. They negotiate pay rates and discounts on tires, fuel, and insurance. Raman Dhillon, the association co-founder, said good salaries are one reason for the draw to the trucking business. A trucker in Canada makes an average salary of $48,733 annually, and those with more experience can bring in over $100,000, Dhillon said.

Take advantage of the job opportunities by contacting Canadian Visa Professionals today. They will help you and your family relocate to Canada and enjoy the benefits of living in this great country.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_basic_grid post_type=”post” max_items=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1543395749876-a6a24173-6d6f-9″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

While both Canada and the United States were negatively affected by the 2008 recession, as well as the bubble crash, Canada has had much better luck rebounding and improving. Thanks to help from companies like Canadian Visa Professionals, new jobs are being filled by skilled foreign workers who are moving to Canada.

Major Differences

Some of the largest differences between Canada and the United States include average wages for work, increases in employment, and housing construction. While wages for men and women rose in Canada, unemployment dropped, and the housing construction sector began to turn around, but things were different in the United States.

What Is Happening

Rather than training new workers, both the United States and Canada tend to hire workers from outside the country. The team at Canadian Visa Professionals helps foreign workers who want to live in Canada. Additionally, since Canada deals more in oil than the United States, that may be helping improve the GDP, as oil accounts for more of the GDP in Canada than it does in the United States.

The Canadian Visa Professionals work hard to make sure that Canada has a great pool of employees to choose from. It’s these employees, an improvement in the construction sector, and an improving housing market that are all helping to improve Canada’s workforce.

Woodstock and Cambridge in Ontario are about to receive a boost to their local job markets. Toyota recently announced that they plan to invest nearly $1.4 billion in their manufacturing plants located in these two Canadian cities.

Increase in Production Brings More Jobs

Canadian Visa Professionals works with people from all over the world who are interested in working and living in Canada. Along with the investment from Toyota, another $220 million is being supplied by the Ontario and Canadian governments.

With this recent announcement, there should be more Canadian employment opportunities in Ontario, especially in the automobile industry. In fact, the investment is expected to help the industry retain 8,000 jobs and bring an additional 450 new positions. Canadian Visa Professionals and its team of experts may help fill some of these new positions by assisting new immigrants with the visa application process.

Toyota Is Restructuring Automobile Production

The Canadian Visa Professionals firm wants to assist those who are interested in the growing automobile sector in Ontario. The West Plant located in Woodstock, Ontario, builds the Toyota RAV4, and the location in Cambridge will soon follow suit.

Currently, the plant in Cambridge builds the Corolla. However, the Corolla production, which was originally slated to move to Mexico, is now being shifted to a plant in Alabama.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Nobody should be surprised by the companies that made Canada’s 2018 Best Managed List. Companies all over the country know what the experts at Canadian Visa Professionals do: the right people can make your company great. Jason Lapp, CEO of Westech Industrial, knows that their biggest challenge is to bring more wonderful employees to their company to help keep pace with their growth.

Attracting the Right Employees

Finding the right employees is key to a company’s success and the reason why so many companies trust Canadianvp when they are looking for the right talent. Jay Klein, the founder of Pur Company, understands that there is a huge connection between the people that you hire and the income that you are able to generate and recognizes the importance of hiring the right staff for the job.

The Best Managed Companies Program

This program loves celebrating Canadian businesses that have revenue of more than $15 million dollars. Each company is judged by its capability, commitment, strategy, and financials. For the past 25 years, this program has expanded and allowed people to see what makes a great company so amazing.

While there are always return winners on this list, new winners such as Noralta Lodge Ltd. and Pneus Unimax Ltee are celebrated as well. The team at Canadian Visa Professionals are doing their part to help companies like these and others find the talent they need to succeed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_basic_grid post_type=”post” max_items=”3″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1530684895727-1c3dbffc-5ae8-7″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Although Canada and the United States share one of the longest borders in the world, there are some big differences in lifestyles between the citizens of these countries, especially when it comes to the workplace. Canada has more laws than the United States about working hours, paid time off, and even leave for new parents. Canadian Visa Professionals seek to assist people from all over the world move to Canada to take advantage of many of these perks. Here are five ways that Canadian workplaces are different from those in the United States.

Canadian work less hours than their American counterparts.
According to a Gallup report from 2014, American workers spend about 47 hours per week at the office. The image that Americans are workaholics is not just a stereotype! In contrast, the Canadian government reports that full-time employees spend about 36 to 40 hours per week at their jobs.

Canadian workers take more breaks during the day.
In America, workers typically get one short lunch break in their workday. Canadian workers, however, are mandated to receive a 30-minute break every five hours, and a 24-hour break every week.

Canadian workers enjoy more vacation time.
In the United States, the government does not have laws that require employers give their employees a certain amount of vacation time every year. Because of that, vacation time varies widely across jobs and most workers only receive about two weeks off per year. However, Canada requires that employees who have worked at a company for less than five years receive two weeks off and three weeks once they have worked there for more than five years.

French is spoken in all workplaces in Quebec.
In Quebec, every person has the right to be served in French, and workers cannot be refused a job because they do not speak English. In America, though, workers usually must speak fluent English and service is not guaranteed in any other language.

Canadian parents are guaranteed time off when their children are born.
The United States does not guarantee maternal or paternal leave for new parents. In Canada, the government requires employers to give mothers up to 15 weeks off to spend with her new baby.
